Rural Mental Health First Aid Training Certification Course
As part of the Women’s Leadership Committee of the Somerset County Farm Bureau’s core initiatives, we are pleased to invite you to attend this Rural Mental Health First Aid Training Certification Course
Monday, October 5, 2026, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the International Conservation Center at 1487 Glen Savage Road, Fairhope, PA
This is an 8-hour, evidence-based course teaching everyday citizens how to spot, understand, and
safely intervene in a mental health or substance use crisis.
The MHFA for Rural Communities is specifically designed for rural settings, addressing unique
disparities in care like provider shortages, risk factors and warning signs, along with strategies to
reduce stigma surrounding mental health treatment and tips on how to provide non-judgmental
support and connect individuals to regional care.
